Materials: Stoneware 
Method: Slab and coils. Structure is formed using two slabs to create the sphere and coils for ruffles. Pour-on glaze was used through a brush technique to give create a varied and subtle tone.
 
Description:
Part of a cluster of 3, this coral vase pertains to the coral series. Medium in size, this piece boasts movements, shapes and shadows. Created using both slabs and coils, this piece is unique, raw and oceanic. 
 
All my pieces are crafted from 100% stoneware. Each piece is unique, with only a few select designs ever replicated, typically in small batches of no more than four, ensuring individuality. Even replicated pieces differ due to the hand-building process. Creating a new piece, from start to finish, generally takes about a month. I reserve one-of-a-kind creations for staple centerpiece designs.
