Description:
Part of a cluster of 3, this coral center piece pertains to the coral series. Large in size, this piece boasts movements, shapes and shadows and it is the original piece from the series. Created using both slabs and coils, this piece is unique, raw and oceanic. What sets this piece apart is the use of gold accents to highlight its natural features. Inspired by the Japanese Kintsugi method, which repairs broken ceramics with gold resin, I filled its natural cracks with gold, echoing that beautiful tradition.
All my pieces are crafted from 100% stoneware. Each piece is unique, with only a few select designs ever replicated, typically in small batches of no more than four, ensuring individuality. Even replicated pieces differ due to the hand-building process. Creating a new piece, from start to finish, generally takes about a month. I reserve one-of-a-kind creations for staple centerpiece designs.
